As a Fiscal Sponsorship project of SharedGeo, all donations to the U.S. National Grid Institute are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Funds donated are earmarked for exclusive use of the USNGI and get deposited in a set aside account for the benefit of USNGI operations.
Funds donated are used to pay for:
- Training materials,
- Promotional materials,
- Web services,
- Postage and shipping,
- Conference booth expenses, and
- Other operationally related costs.
There are no employee or travel related expenses paid by the USNGI - time and travel is donated by members of the Institute.
